When I lived in NYC and the spring weather started to warm up the city I loved taking a stroll on the High Line Park. It was an escape from the busy streets and honking taxis. A little getaway to just relax and maybe eat some Swedish candy from Sockerbit (a Swedish candy store in NYC selling yummy Swedish bulk candy). When I read about the ”Log Road Daikanyama” a couple of weeks ago I got the feeling that it would resemble High Line Park a bit.
The Log Road Daikanyama walking path is 220 meters long and build on top of the former Tokyu Toyoko line rail tracks. In the beginning of the path you find the Spring Valley Brewery (belonging to Kirin, one of the big japanese beer brands ) who offers not only six different craft beers but super yummy food and cool atmosphere. The Log Road is cozy and you can find something for everyone; fashion, cute interior, yummy donuts, pretty greenery, several benches to rest on and two restaurants. If you’re in Daikanyama (which I absolutely recommend that you visit if you’re in Tokyo) go to the Log Road, have a craft beer and enjoy the area 🙂
