Le Pain Quotidien –

Le pain quotidien, Daikanyama, tokyo, japan, began, healthy, healthy food, hummus, detox salad

Although I absolutely love Japanese food and all its flavours it can sometimes be hard for me to find a good place to eat at. I’m both vegan and allergic to gluten. These restrictions plus a lacking knowledge of the Japanese language can sometimes be a problem when we go out for dinner.

Living in New York City before moving here, made me a bit spoiled with all the ‘special and allergy friendly foods’ that were being served everywhere at any time.

Le Pain Quotidien is one of those places that you find everywhere in NYC. You could probably understand my excitement when I found out that they have some locations in Tokyo. I usually order a very yummy ‘Quinoa Detox Salad’ and since I don’t eat bread I usually share their ‘Hummus Trio’ with my dinner company. This time I drank their ‘Iced Raspberry Lemonade’ and it was oh so good! The LPQ we went to is located in Daikanyama but I know they have stores in for example Omotesando and Shibakoen too.

  1. Oh yes, I went to Le Pain Quotidien several times when we were in NY. Great for vegetarians! But Ray really likes it too! 🙂 Must be nice for you to have the option to go there sometimes. Xx

  2. I’m a picky eater so I know how hard it is to find a place to eat at. The food here looks delish. Hope you’re enjoying your Japan life.

  3. That’s a great find! I’m a vegetarian and almost vegan (we have chooks so I eat their eggs but no diary) so I get that it can be hard to find places/foods to eat that are interesting. But the quinoa salad looks amazing and so yummy!
