After a super windy Saturday night, we live on the 24th floor and it was so windy outside our windows that it was hard sleeping, we decided to have a cozy and easy Sunday. Everyone that knows me also know that I have the biggest sweet-tooth. I would choose desserts or sweet tastes before food everyday 😛 Since I’m allergic to all the regular desserts which are usually offered (hello gluten and milk products) I was super happy when my Swedish friend told me that Kippy’s Coco-Cream had opened here in Tokyo. My friend lived here a couple of months just when we moved here and now she sends me Tokyo tips all the way from Sweden ♥
You might have heard about Kippy’s before, it’s originally from L.A. I had a hard time choosing flavors and decided to go with: strawberry, berry swirl, chocolate chip and chocolate cream. F isn’t a sweets monster like I am so he tasted some but I ate the most of it. Since it’s made out of coconut cream I was super full in the end 😛 All of the flavours were very yummy but I must say that the strawberry was the best one!
I always think it’s a bit strange that there are not more vegan or non dairy alternatives to ice cream here in Tokyo. The Japanese use soy milk a lot and soy ice cream is something we have a lot of in Sweden and I know it’s popular in the US and other countries too.
Anyways, if you’re looking for a non dairy ice cream alternative you must try this place out 🙂 You can also find raw pressed juices from another famous L.A name there.
