Hiking amongst Colors

Otama walking trail, japan hiking, okutama city, kori station, tokyo, fall colors, japan nature

I found these beautiful photos when I looked through the photos I took before I started the blog. These are from December 2013, our first fall and winter here in Tokyo. On the weekends we used to crave nature. Most weekends, when we had time for it, we found ourselves going outside the busy city and into the amazing Japanese nature. This was one of those day trip getaways.

We started our hike in Okutama City, about 90 minutes from Shinjuku station. The Otama Walking Trail is about 8 km long and take around 3 hours to walk. It stretches between Okutama Station and Kori Station and you walk by the beautiful Tama river almost the whole hike. It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!

I hope you’re having a lovely week!

Love,
