As you can see by the very clear name 🙂 this is a gluten-free cafe and restaurant in Harajuku. I think they recently changed their menu to an all gluten-free menu. This is the first gluten-free restaurant I’ve been to in Japan, I’ve read about one or two others but never visited.
I must say that it feels like the Japanese are getting more aware, understanding and concerned about different diets and diet restrictions.
Since I’m allergic to gluten and also vegan (sometimes I do eat goat cheese) I knew that it would be hard to get something both vegan and gluten-free. I stopped eating cow dairy products more than 15 years ago but this day I decided to take a vegetarian pizza and just hoped that I wouldn’t feel horrible after, and I didn’t! I’m def not going to start to eat cheese but it was so good that day 😛
